Finished 2 days of pre-departure training (very boring). Everyone seems very nice. On thursday we get some shots and leave the country. Pretty soon I'll be speaking French every day.
I can't believe you left the country today! For some reason I thought you had 3 days of PC training and were leaving on Friday..guess not! Well, I hope you have a good trip to Africa and an exciting 1st day :)
Cell Phone: 229 96 56 69 00 Tip: use a african calling card or skype to call me between 7 and 10 AM EST. Snail Mail: Michael Chadsey, PCV Corps de la Paix Americain 01 B.P. 971 Cotonou, Benin Afrique de l’Ouest (West Africa)
TIPS: Write 'Air Mail' and 'Par Avion' on your packages. Use bubble-type envelopes, not boxes. Declare the contents to be of little to no value. It will take time for things to reach me = nothing perishable. Also remember I have to pay to get anything out of the post office if you use boxes or stuff too much in an envelope. Thanks
I just graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and I am starting off on a new adventure as a PCV in Benin, West Africa
All of the opinions or thoughts shared on this blog are those of Michael Chadsey and not those of the Peace Corps or any offical operating on behalf of the governments of Benin or the US.
